Chakras: What Are They & What They Do

This lesson is an introduction to the seven main chakras and the chakra system. The word Chakra comes from ancient Sanskrit and translates to "wheel". These "wheels" relate to different aspects of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self. They are in ascending order: the root chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra and the crown chakra.

Chakra Reflective Prompt

Take a moment to recall the colors you worked with in the Conscious Release meditation. Which colors came up the most often? Take note of that and consider those colors as you learn more about the chakras.

Also, spend an evening in meditation and then journal about the aspects of yourself and your personality that feel stable, balanced and in alignment. Then, journal about things you feel are maybe out of balance, as well as any chronic pain that may arise in your physical experience.

This exercise is to help set you up for more consciously engaging with the chakra lessons that are going follow. As you move from chakra to chakra, be prepared to look at this original list and compare it with the information in each section to see if there are any parallels or connections.

I want to remind you the source material for this Awakening Soul Force Course is my book Awakening Soul Force: A Practical Guide to Awakening the Truth Within which is available on Audible and paperback on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I highly recommend purchasing the book to follow along — especially when it comes these chakra sections. See you in the next lesson!

Onward!
